Aesthetics of a 4-axle passenger coach

2003: The MSGB passenger coach in Neckarbischofsheim   2008: The (almost) genuine MSGB train at "Mannheim Dampf"

2003: There were only 2 weeks to go until the start of the season, so the benches were built in in a disatrous hurry. Thus the bolts for the main inside supports were not put into the centre of the planks but, as can be seen on the right, across the grooves.
In the meantime the coach has got removable windows with very nice white wooden frames. But unfortunately they contrast with the heavy door, its rough window frame and the simple wooden plank  which, somewhat hidden by a pinned-on leaflet, covers the gap. The choice of the paint alone could have arranged a lot!

And these are the boggies for the new coach.

Each boggie has a brake system with wooden blocks acting on all 4 wheels. The brake-levers will be operated mechanically by cable, but it is possible to add air or hydraulic cylinders. The axles run on oscillating roller bearings in order to follow the unevenness of the track. The pulling and buffer rods will be fixed on the pivot. The upper crossbeam which supports the body is mounted on 4 springs.
