The lenth of the main line
is about 120m with an incline of 4% along the creek to the phone box
and 5% down to the triple point. The engines head back over the transborder
(with integrated inspection and repair pit), the points of the "station"
area are therefore spring operated. The other points have levers.
An undulated iron DB shelter (from the former Schleissweiler halt, then
used as chicken house, now ticket office again and shelter for gardening
tools), a DB phone box (shelter for track tools) and the 4-stand-loco
engine shed in a turn-of-the-century style give the whole layout enough
"real" railway flair without the usual display of accessoirs
like plates and signals. With its 2 ton block the engine shed also serves
as a workshop. Some photos can be seen at the "History"
.
